We are soon to set our journey towards Golgotha and begin the Great Lent of 2013. It is one of the most important seasons of our liturgical year. Lent is a period of looking into ourselves, identifying our wrongs, confessing them with a broken heart and starting anew. The Great Lent is also the appropriate time to conduct a comprehensive audit of our lives. We ourselves must prepare an audit report after evaluating our spiritual lives. We must pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to create an awareness of our sins so that we might experience true repentance during this Great Lent.

This year the great Lent begins on 10th February. Like last year, we will be sending daily online devotions (Lenten Lantern) to all of you to have a meaningful quiet time and devotion during Great Lent. Lenten Lantern provides light as we journey in this season of Great Lent to reflect on the meaning, message and direction of the passion of Christ and the observance of Lent.

Wednesday Talks

Join us every Wednesday from 7:30-8:30pm at the church for enriching talks on "Living A Crucified Life With Christ."

The Great Lent 2013

I request all my parishioners to find some time to read and meditate the daily devotions and attend the talks on Wednesdays regularly. Hope these initiatives will help us to develop a deeper relation with our master Jesus Christ.

Let us walk together to Golgotha and prepare our hearts for this sacred season of spiritual renewal and transformation.

Whoever wishes to be my follower must deny his very self, take up his cross each day, and follow in my steps.

β€” Luke 9:23

May this Lenten season bring us closer to Christ through prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. Let us embrace this journey with open hearts and steadfast faith.

Yours in Christ's love,
