EDAVAKA MISSION
Spreading Gospel, Engaging Hearts
The "EDAVAKA" (PARISH) MISSION is the branch of the Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists Association (M.T.V.E.A) whose activities are cantered in the parish. The objective of the organization is that every member of the church should be a missionary filled with such joy and assurance of salvation as to be Christ's witness to those who come into contact with him, irrespective of one's profession in secular life.
Edavaka Mission has a prominent role in spreading the gospel and leading the mission activities of the parish. St John's MTC Edavaka Mission is trying to engage the hearts of it's believers with Bible teachings, sharing the experiences in God, and intercessory prayer.
Activities of Edavaka Mission
Conducting Sandhya Namaskaram and Bible Devotion on every Thursday
Chain prayer on every Tuesday
Helping to conduct the 40 days of Vespers during the Great Lent
Conduct the Parish Convention
Prison ministry during Christmas time
Visiting homes of elderly church members to extend spiritual fellowship
