SEVIKA SANGHAM

The Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sangham - Empowering Women Through Faith and Service

Our Heritage

The Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sangham, the women's wing, was inaugurated during the Maramon Convention in 1919 under the visionary leadership of Abraham Mar Thoma Metropolitan, who provided continued support and inspiration to this transformative movement.

Throughout the ministry of our Lord, women played a pivotal role in His mission. Among His faithful followers and closest companions were women who demonstrated unwavering devotion. They were the last to leave our Lord's cross and the first to witness His resurrection. While women may not have always been recognized as eloquent orators, gifted writers, or theologians, their true strength lies in their kind hearts and willingness to serve others with dedication and compassion.

Our Mission & Purpose

The Sevika Sangham is centered around the noble ethic of serving the poor and needy members of our society. Our organization has been instrumental in raising funds for various charitable initiatives and supporting the church in uplifting all spiritual activities. Through dedication and compassion, we continue to make a meaningful difference in countless lives.

📅

Monthly Meetings

SevikaSangham meetings are held once a month in the presence of our Vicar. Area Sevika Sangham meetings are conducted at the residence of area prayer group members. In the absence of the Vicar, meetings are led by chosen representatives.

Church Services

Sevika Sangham services are conducted at the church on every 3rd Sunday following the regular service. These gatherings provide spiritual enrichment and strengthen our community bonds through worship and fellowship.
